The Kona was very poised on the freeway, using easily and the moment torque was nice for fast acceleration
BHPian automobile fan lately shared it with different fanatics.
Yesterday I drove from Gurgaon to Karnal (Haryana) and again in my Hyundai Kona, a complete of 348 km. Consumption was 11.4kWh/100km, which interprets to 344km on a single cost if my math is appropriate (the battery used within the Kona is 39.2kWh).
I charged SG Karnal with Statiq DC charger – 21 models at Rs.20/unit, took 59 minutes to cost. It is a 60kW charger and I used a CCS/SAE connection. The expertise was seamless, as normal with Statiq.
I drove the primary half to Karnal on an empty freeway (Western Peripheral Expressway) utilizing the heater sometimes, then NH44 to Karnal which is a busier freeway. The ambient temperature was 10-13 levels.
I used the heater sometimes for 2 thirds of the journey again and saved it on for the final third. The freeway was fairly busy.
This can be a nice consequence IMO in these situations. Didn’t drive above 90 km/h, drove in Eco mode. The Kona was very poised on the freeway, using easily and the moment torque was glorious for fast acceleration, even in Eco mode, which limits acceleration.
