GURUGRAM: A 68-year-old man was hit by a pickup van at 6 am close to Jhajjar bypass in Farrukhnagar space, police mentioned.
In line with the police, the sufferer, recognized as Ram Ratan, was strolling within the morning along with his son when he was hit by a rushing van from behind and fled the scene on Wednesday. Ratan was rushed to Medanta hospital from the place he was referred to AIIMS. Whereas Ratan’s therapy continued, his son Jivesh lodged a grievance with the police.
In line with Jivesh, who does a personal job, following their day by day routine, he and his father went out for a stroll at 5am on Wednesday. “We had been on the highway from Jhajjar bypass to Gurgaon when a rushing pickup van got here and hit my father from behind,” Jivesh advised police. Ratan’s left hand was amputated within the accident and was admitted to the ICU, police mentioned.
An FIR has been registered at Farrukhnagar police station beneath sections 279 (rash driving or driving on public highway), 337 (inflicting harm by act endangering the life or private security of one other) and 338 ( inflicting grievous harm by endangering the lifetime of one other) of the IPC.
“We’re tracing the accused. We have now collected the CCTV footage of the close by areas,” mentioned the police official.
